Hero Properties: Baobab is high in vitamin C and antioxidants as well as vitamins A and B.
What it does: Baobab helps improve skin elasticity and protects against free radical damage. It has anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties and serves as a prebiotic food source.
Where it’s from: Baobab powder is extracted from the fruit pulp of the baobab tree.

Marula:
Hero Properties: Marula oil is rich in essential fatty acids omega 6 and 9. Its high content of tocopherols, flavanols and catechins make Marula oil a strong antioxidant.
What it does: Marula helps to regenerate skin cells, protects the skin against the damaging effects of the environment, and improves hydration and smoothness. It is also effective at keeping hair soft, supple, and moisturised.
Where it’s from: Marula oil is cold pressed from the seed kernels of the Marula fruit.

Hero Properties: Kalahari melon oil is extremely high in both essential fatty acids (Linolenic acid, Omega 6 and 9) and vitamins A, C and E.

Where it’s from: Aloe Vera gel is extracted from the leaf of the Aloe Vera plant and is dried to form a powder.

Hero Properties: Xylitol is a low GI sugar alcohol with antibacterial properties.
What it does: It is endorsed by many dental associations worldwide for its ability to inhibit the growth of the oral bacteria Streptococcus mutans, which is largely responsible for plaque.
Where it’s from: Xylitol occurs naturally in small amounts in fibrous fruits and vegetables, trees, corncobs, and even the human body. It is usually processed from birch trees or corn.
